Spring has sprung

We got to go outside to play this week and take a walk in between all this rain.  It was so nice to get out.  It was also the first time in a month that we made it to every class we had scheduled. It felt nice to get back into the swing of things.

Lately Boo had taken to carrying around two stuffies with her. This kitty in the picture and a similar puppy.  When she wakes up in the morning she cries if her stuffies fell out of bed. She says "my kitty ran away. She is special to me. "  She's so funny.

Boo also got a new pair of pjs. Pink princess bunnies is so very Boo. I find it funny that L-bear loves things that fall under both traditional gender roles her favorite color is blue and frills aren't here thing yet at the same time she's all girl. Ro-bear is a ballerona superhero who loves trains- also the best of both worlds, but Boo is very girl. Pink, dresses, princesses, boys are yucky-girly girl. Where did she learn this from? I guess she's just natually feminine. At least she still has superpowers and a pretty pink cape (she "flies" and "shoots beams"from her hands).
Today Boo made a present for Papaw because he's a boy. Whatever works.

The only other thing thing that happened this week was Easter bows. From top to bottom Ro-bear, L-bug and Boo. I forgot to make myself one.  Hope you are having a peaceful week and hope you visit again soon.

snowity snow snow

Surprisingly, I'm not tired of the snow yet. However, its already melting away so its time to get ready for spring.  The girls are all tired of being cooped up inside. Ro-bear doesn't handle the cold as well as the rest of us, so we didn't play in outside as much as Boo and L-bug would have liked.
Today to beat boredom the girls used the old playpen as pirate ships and made eye patches, telescopes and tiny popciclestick s. rds.

We also made it back to the library (old picture) to play in the new kids section. L-bug has been watchin Fetch the PBS show and today had slam poetry on. So L decided we should each write a poem called I Believe.

Here is L's
I believe I can be a queen,
I believe seeing is not believing.
I believe music is magic,
I believe what is most magical
is life.
life
is
magic.

Here's mine

I believe a moment
can last longer than the years.
One memory keeps us going-
I blink and you are grown,
in a moment.

I believe life's a dream
lived in spurts and fits
between the moments.

In this moment I love you,
and that's all I need
to believe.

So that's what we came up with, be nice we're not professionals.  School work is drudging alone, she's ready for a break but spring break is over a month away due to surgery. I can't believe we are so close to being done with the third grade. Time flies.
